I can’t decide! The Eagle’s landing gear give it that tall, powerful stance. But the F/A-18s have those awesome, reinforced landing gear for carrier landings and that duel nose gear.

None of the above

It's the Soul Plane! You have to see that movie.

Tilt-wing to make it easier to land, massive cannon spam, high agility, big engine, what’s not to like?

I think the F-22 is the best looking plane here, but the FA/18 Hornet looked most natural on its landing gear, so it ultimately go t my vote.

Really like the F-8 in the dark gray/blue the French used at the end of its life:

I like the A-10 because the nosewheel is off center, to make for the awesomeness that is it’s main gun. If that’s not bad-ass-on-wheels, I don’t know what is.

I just realized you forgot a fighter!
Sure as an aggressor aircraft the F-5 is not likely to be fighting on the front lines, but it is a fighter (no asterisk needed) in the US inventory.
I guess if you wanted a real stretch, you could count the QF-4 as well:

While thinking about how this list is missing the F-5, it occurred to me that if you really wanted to add in the F-4, the QF-4 training drone (converted F-4) is still in service.

I debated including the aggressors (the US also apparently has a couple SU-27s that they use for this) but decided to only use ones that can see actual combat.

Fair enough, but you’ll be sorry once we go to war with China and attrition has whittled it down to the point where we are sending out our F-5s to meet their boneyard J-7s...

Good thing I'm not in charge!

A-10 for the win. They look so good, it doesn’t even put them completely away, during flight!
